Three Gates Millennium Scholars represent UNTHSC
Gayla Ferguson, William Nutting, and Victor Trejo, were selected as Gates Millennium Scholars. These students were successful in high school and maintained their commitment to excellence into graduate school at the Health Science Center.
Atrium Gallery recognized by Fort Worth Dealers Association
The Fort Worth Art Dealers Association has recognized the Health Science Center's contributions toward the community's well being by unanimously voting the Atrium Gallery as one of its non-profit associate members. The Atrium Gallery, located on the first floor of the Education and Administration building, offers local works of art, illustrating the relationship and commonalities between art and medicine.
Another clinic exam room goes “kid friendly”
You're 4 years old. And you have to go to the doctor's office. It's much less scary to amble into an exam room painted with "Dora the Explorer," colorful animals and trees rather than a sterile white exam room for grown-ups.
SACS officials visit campus
Representatives with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) will visit the UNT Health Science Center Tuesday, March 9, through Thursday, March 11, as the next-to-last step in the SACS reaffirmation process.
Save the Date: Research Appreciation Day 2010
The UNT Health Science Center will host its eighteenth annual Research Appreciation Day (RAD) on Friday, April 23, at UNTHSC's Center for BioHealth.
North Texas Health Forum tackles infant mortality issue
A free public forum, titled Reducing Infant Mortality in Tarrant County: It's Time for Action and sponsored by the School of Public Health will be held at the Fort Worth Community Arts Center on April 8 and 9. Register through UNTHSC's office of Professional and Continuing Education.
Biomedical Science program goes global
To help expand its influence globally and attract additional students, the Health Science Center's Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences (GSBS) is launching its first joint degree program with an institution outside this country.
