• There are other web conferencing platforms that can be used. Zoom and Microsoft Teams are the two supported and most commonly used at UNTHSC.

What does my laptop need to have when utilizing the web conferencing features in the following rooms?

The laptop will need to have both an HDMI port and a USB port.   If your laptop does not have those ports built in then you will need to obtain an adapter for your computer that provides these ports.

Web Conference Ready Rooms

There are now 41 rooms that are web conference ready, meaning they already have a camera, microphone(s) and speaker(s) designed to be used with web conferencing:

Baily 553 Conference Room (seats 9) is not equipped with a computer.

CBH 260 (seats 16) is equipped with a computer and ceiling microphones.

CBH 372 (seats 18) is equipped with a computer and ceiling microphones.

CBH 470 (seats 18) is equipped with a computer and ceiling microphones.

CBH 554 (seats 12) is equipped with a computer and ceiling microphones.

EAD 245 (seats 8) is not equipped with a computer.

EAD 255 (seats 50) is equipped with a computer and ceiling microphones. Note: this room not equipped with a lapel  or a hand-held microphone.

EAD 270 (seats 12) is not equipped with a computer.

EAD 275-A (seats 4) is not equipped with a computer.

EAD 280 (seats 12) is not equipped with a computer.

EAD 285-C (seats 4) is not equipped with a computer.

EAD 290 (seats 6) is not equipped with a computer.

MET 320-K (seats 24) is equipped with a computer.

MET 550 (seats 25) is not equipped with computer.

RES 100 (seats 178) is equipped with a computer and ceiling microphones.

RES 114 (seats 127) is equipped with a computer and ceiling microphones.

RES 326 (seats 25) is equipped with a computer and ceiling microphones.

RES 405 (seats 14) is not equipped with computer.
