Assistant professor
Manoushagian is a registered nurse and certified family nurse practitioner with nearly 20 years of healthcare experience. She began her medical career as an Air Force medic, working in pediatric and family primary care and labor and delivery. She also deployed to Balad, Iraq, as medical support for Operation Enduring Freedom. After completing her nursing degree, she worked in an adult CVICU before finding her passion for the pediatric patient population. For the past 10 years, Sandy has worked as a pediatric nurse and clinical educator supporting other pediatric nurses. She will be practicing in the HSC Pediatric Mobile Clinic and with Catch One program. As an assistant professor, she is excited to share her passion for the pediatric population with her students.
Manoushagian lives in Fort Worth with her husband of 18 years and their five children. She completed her BSN at Texas Tech University and her DNP at Texas Christian University.
