In Person Color Blind Training

Please join the Office of Disability Access for an In Person training session on January 25th at 12:00-1:00 in IREB 455. This training is designed to raise awareness about colorblindness and its impact on individuals in diverse settings. Participants will explore practical ways to create inclusive and accessible environments, with a focus on fostering understanding and equity. Through discussion and actionable strategies, this training empowers attendees to support individuals with colorblindness in their academic, clinical, and professional journeys.

Learning Objectives

  • Understand the types and prevalence of colorblindness and how it impacts daily activities.
  • Recognize the challenges individuals with colorblindness face in academic, clinical, and workplace settings.
  • Identify tools, resources, and strategies to make materials, environments, and interactions more accessible.
  • Apply inclusive practices to improve the experiences of colorblind individuals in teaching, learning, and professional contexts.
